e-Lock Corporation Sdn Bhd is a one-stop provider that offers a comprehensive suite of information security solutions and services. Founded in 1996 by Dr. Ken Leong, e-Lock's mission is to be a leading global information security company. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur with about 40 employees, e-Lock is a member company of the Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) Group, Malaysia's leading investment institution. e-Lock's primary activities are software development, consultancy and technical support. Today, the company has a global market presence with prominent customers in Japan, China, Taiwan, South Africa, South East Asia. Presently, the company is actively developing its business in the United States.

Brief History

e-Lock was originally conceived for the research and development of digital security technologies with focuses in data security and cryptography. The company launched its first data encryption product in year 1999, and since then 7 more security products have been developed. The company later diversified into providing security consulting and support services with the aim of becoming a one-stop provider.

In year 2000, Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) invested in e-Lock with their strong confidence in e-Lock's R&D achievements and global growth potential. The funds were timely and crucial to enable the company to execute numerous business expansion initiatives. Subsequently, in 2003, e-Lock created a subsidiary called Sigmaline Technologies Sdn. Bhd. that focuses on the safety and security surveillance business. This is an extension to e-Lock's core capabilities in the electronic environment to physical environment.
